A June poll by Marquette Law School sheds some light on the electorate’s foul mood.

Only 18% of U.S. adults “trust the government in Washington to do what is right” all or most of the time, while 19% never trust it, and 63% trust it “only some” of the time.

So, what is on the ballot this November, and what does it say about America?

The key battleground states are reporting that older voters are more intent on voting than younger voters.

The number of Governor races in 2026 is the same as in 2022, BUT there are far more open seats—meaning the winner will be a newcomer to the governor’s mansion.

As of 2025, 27 states and D.C. had “supermajorities”—enough votes to override a governor’s veto.

On November 3, voters will pick 36 governors, 26 secretaries of state, 30 attorneys general, and more than 6,100 state legislators—more than 80% of the lawmakers in statehouses across the country.

There are some interesting “ballot measures,” such as ranked-choice voting in Alaska. As of early August, there were 132 ballot measures in play.

I believe we need candidates that are serious individuals to lead this country!

As Spock said, and I quote, “the needs of the many far out weigh the needs of the few or the one.”
